The National League for Nursing (NLN) is the premier organization for nurse faculty and leaders in nursing education and is the oldest nursing association in the U.S. NLN offers professional development, networking opportunities, testing services, nursing research grants, and public policy initiatives to its 40,000 individual and 1,200 institutional members.
The objectives for the rebrand was to create a more youthful and modern vibe that would appeal to younger members of the profession, help drive individuals to look at nursing education as a viable career path and to create a more cohesive look across all NLN state associations, programs and events.
We established a color palette
We chose the main fonts.
We built out a gradient build that is the center piece of this brand.
One of the first steps for this rebrand was crafting a stationary package that reflected the colorful nature of the logo, but did not feel overwhelming either. In this set, we created a folder, envelopes, letterheads, a notepad sample and business cards that all use gradients as a common theme to tie them together in a colorful and refined way.
Updating advertisements for the brand both digitally and for print was the next plan of action, by creating social media ads and printed ads with the new brand sensibilities in mind.
And created additional logos for NLN’s programs, institutes, events and foundations.
We created a new website refresh concept for NLN that more closely follows the brand standard we set with the stationary package. We were able to clean up the site and emphasize colors without overwhelming the user.
